Resilience Hubs

Living Labs implementing Nature-based Solutions, circular approaches, and digital tools to build resilient rural communities across Europe.

Real-World Demonstration Areas

The NURISH project works with four Resilience Hubs, real world demonstration areas that represent different rural contexts across Europe. These communities face diverse climate challenges and have committed to taking ambitious climate action as signatories of the EU Mission Adaptation Charter or through advanced climate planning. The Resilience Hubs implement, test and evaluate Nature based Solutions, circular approaches, digital tools and community led processes that strengthen climate resilience.

Each Resilience Hub acts as a Living Lab and carries out activities to build local capacities, enhance collaboration and support climate adaptation. This includes stakeholder mapping, climate risk analysis, co creation of NBS, and the establishment of Community Centers equipped with digital tools for participation, knowledge exchange with other communities and decision making. The knowledge generated in the Hubs guides the development of Regenerative Rural Resilience Action Plans, which serve as models for other communities and support the reapplication of solutions in the Resilience Nodes.
